It's fairly easy to use since it was designed to be kid-friendly. Remove the top cover to access the "water tank". Inside you'll see the fill in marker so you know when to stop putting in water.
Add your favorite essential oils, close the owl head and voila! You are ready to use your cute Feather The Owl diffuser from Young Living.
What to expect from your owl diffuser?
The manual explains pretty much everything you need to know to operate this diffuser. Here are some features to note, though, in case you are wondering what it can do.
This diffuser has the Easy-Touch-Talons feature so the power and light operations are touch sensitive and simple enough for kids to operate.
It has built in speaker for sound, which has 5 variations (rain, birds, ocean waves, fan, and lullaby).
It has 3 run time modes. High mode runs 5-6 hours. Low mode runs about 8 hours. And intermittent mode runs 10 hours (1 min. on, 1 min. off).
The lighting changes to 10 different LED light options. So it can function as night light as well.
This diffuser can hold 165 ml of water.
13.6 x 13.3 x 15.1 cm
The owl weighs about 0.44 kg.
It can cover about 323 sq. ft.
As you can see, it has been used and abused. I'm a bit disappointed it didn't last us that long. Yes, it has been dropped a few times, but the problem wasn't the cracks I think (some of the cracks just appeared and not caused by my clumsy hands).
From the start I had trouble with its "diffusing" performance. Sometimes it would work, sometimes it wouldn't. I've tried changing the stick. I've tried cleaning the "vent". It took me a while to get it to work sometimes. Until I finally broke it I think (as you can see from the first picture). Overall, it may not be as durable as the other diffusers.
It was a great travel diffuser, though. I will definitely miss having this handy diffuser around. I may attempt to repair it, though. Let's see. :)

REVIEW
I've been using the Feather The Owl Kids Diffuser for a month now and so far, I'm happy with it. The kids too, of course, were ecstatic the first time they saw it.
I like the design. The head or cap, could've had a better design (maybe an easier grip feature) so it will be easier to remove with one hand. But, yeah, I like the simplicity, owl design. :)
My only issue with this diffuser is that it doesn't have a "screen" to see which mode it is in. I always get confused with the "touch" feature so I'm not 100% sure which mode it is running at the moment. I find it hard to tell lol!
